Alexandra Flessel, MD

About Me

Ally was born in Evanston, Illinois and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She left the West Coast to attend Bucknell University where she earned her BS in Biology with a minor in English. After college, Ally worked for two years as a part of the clinical research team at Verily Life Sciences in South San Francisco, CA. In 2017 she moved to Detroit, MI where she earned her MD at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Ally’s interest in women’s health truly began when she discovered her love for endocrinology while in college. In the subsequent years she became certain OBGYN was the path for her due to the merging of surgery, primary care, and opportunity for long-term patient relationships. Ally is also thrilled to be following in the footsteps of her Grandfather who practiced as an OBGYN for over 50 years.


In her free time, Ally enjoys hiking, skiing, taking various Peloton classes and traveling with friends and family. She is a true extrovert and loves to recharge by sharing a good meal with friends or catching up on the phone with her family.
